Senate In Rancour As Sen. Smart Adeyemi Calls Abia Governor ‘Drunk’

The Senator representing Kogi West, Smart Adeyemi, on Tuesday threw caution to the wind when he verbally attacked the Governor of Abia State, Okezie Ikpeazu, on the floor of the Senate.

A visibly angry Senator Adeyemi bemoaned the economic condition of Abians, adding that the state government has reneged on its mandate to the people.

Adeyemi had stood up on the floor of the Upper Chamber to contribute to the motion for the “restoration and revalidation of the safe school initiative” moved by Senator Stephen Odey (Cross River North).
