Shehu Sani Knocks Buhari, Red Carpets For Oscars Not Dapchi

Shehu Sani, senator representing Kaduna central, has criticized President Muhammadu Buhari for accepting to use a red carpet when he visited Government Girls Science Technical College (GGSTC), Dapchi, Yobe state.

The President was in Dapchi on Wednesday, to commiserate with the parents of the 110 abducted schoolgirls.

Recall that on February 19, 2018, Boko Haram insurgents kidnapped 110 girls from the GGSTC after the sect invaded the school environment.

However, pictures released by the Presidency showed Mr Buhari entering the school environment on a red carpet.

The President’s decision to enter the school with a red carpet sparked anger across the country, with many saying his visit was to condole with the parents of the missing children and not a ceremonial visit.

Reacting to the President’s gesture, Senator Sani wrote: “A red carpet should be for the Oscars or Grammy or Caines but not for Dapchi.”
