The anti-corruption fight of the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration will be extended to members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), EFCC boss, Ibrahim Magu has claimed.

Magu, who said this in Kaduna on Tuesday, claimed that President Buhari ordered him to go after “Nigerian leaders” and corrupt government officials in his administration irrespective of their political affiliation.

“We have cause to investigate and in fact we are investigating even those that are in government without them knowing,” Magu said.

“The president has given me the mandate to investigate every corrupt Nigerian leader irrespective of his political affiliation.

“The fight against corruption is designed and structured to boost confidence in the economy as well as to attract investors both within and outside the country,” he added.

Meanwhile, the EFCC boss is yet to come out in clear terms on the allegation of persecution by two Supreme Court Justices, Justice Okoro Inyang and Justice Sylvester Ngwuta, who alleged that the Minister of Transportation, Mr. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, spoke to them on two different occasions to influence court rulings of two elections.
