CHAN 2016: Eagles Touch Down Kigali, To Pocket $2,000 Match Bonus

Ahead of the 2016 African Nations Championship in Rwanda, Nigeria Super Eagle’s B team arrived Kigali on Friday after they departed South Africa.

The team of players from the Nigerian domestic league have been training in Pretoria, South Africa, since January 2 in preparation for the tournament.

Coach Sunday Oliseh and his team will be lodged at the four-star Hill View Hotel in Kigali during the group stages of the competition.

The hotel is located in the Kiyovu district, inside the Kigali City Center and will house the Eagles for 11 days before they leave Kigali for Gisenyi where they will play their final group game against Guinea on January 26.

In a bid to boost the team to achieve the ultimate goal of lifting the trophy at the end of the tournament, the Nigeria Football Federation has announced cash bonuses for the team.

The players will receive the sum of $2,000 for a win and earn $1000 for a draw, while the technical crew will earn $4,000 for a win, and $2,000 for a draw.

Nigeria will face Niger Republic in their opening game on Monday before tackling Tunisia and Guinea in Group C.
