EFCC Boss, Magu Denied Access To President Buhari

Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu, has been denied access to President Muhammadu Buhari, PUNCH reports.

Magu’s inability to meet with President Buhari may not be unconnected to his indictment in a report released last week by the Department of State Service (DSS).

The report, which alleged that Magu was corrupt and a gross violator of human rights, made it impossible for the Nigerian Senate to confirm him as chairman of the EFCC.

THE WHISTLER learned that the EFCC boss has made fruitless attempts to see President Buhari following his rejection by the upper house.

Several media reported that Magu has since written a letter to the President, defending himself from the incriminatory allegations contained in the DSS report.
