FIFA Ranking: Super Eagles Move Up One Place

Nigeria’s Super Eagles have move up one place to 50th in the latest FIFA World Ranking, released by the world football governing body on Thursday.

Gernot Rohr’s men climbed a place upward to seventh in Africa, behind Senegal, Côte d’Ivoire, Egypt, Tunisia, Algeria and Congo DR.

Senegal and Ivory Coast remained Africa’s top two teams while Egypt are now Africa’s third best team edging fellow north African rivals, Tunisia.

Argentina, Brazil and Germany maintained first, second and third positions respectively as the top 34 teams in the World remain unchanged.

The three-time African Champions are expected to drop in next month’s ranking, as they will not take part in the 2017 African Cup of Nations expected to kick off this weekend in Gabon
