Opposition Party, National Conscience Party (NCP), has berated President Muhammadu Buhari for alleged lopsided appointment after he appointed, bring back our girls campaigner, Hadiza Bala Usman, as managing director of Nigeria Ports Authority (NPA).

Speaking to newsmen, president of NCP Dr. Yunusa Tanko, described Usman’s appointment as yet another “lopsided appointment favoring the North”.

He said the appointment has validated allegations that the Buhari-led administration was only out to favour the North.

Tanko demands that Usman’s appointment be reversed as she lacked the required experience to man the NPA.

He also alleged that Usman currently holds an office with the kaduna State Government.

“While I seriously support electing and appointing our women into governance, the appointment of Hadiza Bala Usman as NPA boss is one wrong appointment too many.”

“The government has been accused of lopsided appointment favoring the North; right or wrong, the perception has been established.”

“The lady in question is serving as chief of staff to Mallam Nasir el-Rufai, Governor of kaduna State.

“She also lacks the experience to manage such a large organisation and heading senior professors as staffs under her.

“While we strongly condemn this act, we urge the federal government to reverse this appointment and look for capable hands from the southern part of the country in the spirit of fairness, equity and justice and, above all, the unity of this country,” Tanko added.
