I Was Offered Oil Bloc, Mansion To Take Only 5 States To Biafra – Nnamdi Kanu

The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu , on Wednesday, claimed that while he was in Kuje Prison, he was offered Biafra Republic with only Five South-East States by the Nigerian Government, but he rejected the offer.

He made the claim while speaking to leaders of Igbo Civil Society Coalition led by Prof. Obasi Igwe, when they paid a solidarity visit at his Umuahia home.

According to the IPOB leader, he refused the offer because that did not constitute the complete Biafra. He said he told them that he wants a Biafra with the inclusion of Benue and Rivers States.

Kanu further acclaimed he was offered an oil block and mansion in Dubai aimed at making him to abandon the cause but that he rejected them and insisted on the actualization of Biafra.

He said those things offered to him by the Nigerian Government were Greek gifts to buy him over. He maintained that he had no price other than to actualize the restoration of Biafra Republic and liberate the Igbo.

“They gave me Biafra in Prison with only the five Igbo states; I said no, I want Benue and Rivers”, Kanu said, pointing out that “Biafra is coming; there is nothing to stop it”.

The IPOB leader also criticized Igbo elites for indulging in anti-Biafra activities, saying that they have no interest in the Igbo masses.
