Indian Bridge Collapse Kills 10, Traps Up To 150 Persons
At least 10 people are dead and around 150 are missing after a roadway overpass collapsed in Kolkata on Thursday.
Emergency crews are working to pull the trapped out from under the wreckage of the cement structure. A police officer at the scene called the situation “pathetic,” adding, “at this moment no one has any clue how many people are trapped.”

People were trying to hand bottles of water to survivors pinned underneath, some of whom were sticking bloodied hands out of the wreckage. The overpass has been under construction since 2009.
