JUST IN: FEC Meeting Cancelled

The weekly meeting of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) will not hold this Wednesday, February, 28, 2018, the Presidency says.

The Presidency in a statement attributed the cancellation to President Muhammadu Buhari’s participation in the International Conference on Lake Chad Basin, at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja.

The President will participate alongside a significant number of ministers at the meeting slated for Monday 26 through Wednesday 28 February.

“This is due to the participation of President Muhammadu Buhari and a significant number of ministers at the High-Level Meeting of the International Conference on Lake Chad Basin, at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja, for the better part of that day,” the presidency stated.

NOTICE: The meeting of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) will not hold on Wednesday, Feb 28, 2018. This is due to the participation of President @MBuhari and a significant number of ministers at the High-Level Meeting of @lcbcconference, for the better part of that day.

The objective of the conference is to create global awareness on the socio-economic challenges arising from the shrinkage of the Lake Chad.
