Justice Abang Orders INEC To Declare Jimoh Ibrahim Ondo PDP Candidate

Justice Okon Abang of the Abuja Federal High Court has ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to accept Mr. Jimoh Ibrahim of the Ali Modu Sherrif-led faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), as the legitimate candidate of the party in the forthcoming Ondo state governorship elections.
Abang, who is known for giving conflicting court rulings, gave the order to back a judgement he had delivered on June 29, 2016.

The judge has asked INEC to replace Eyitayo Jegede who is currently recognised as the Ondo PDP governorship candidate with Jimoh Ibrahim.
