‘NYSC Under Pressure From Adeosun’s Godfathers Over Forged Certificate’

The Minister of Finance, Mrs Kemi Adeosun’s alleged ‘godfathers’ have reportedly been breathing down the neck of NYSC Director-General, Brig-Gen. Suleiman Kazaure, ever since the story of the minister’s alleged certificate forgery broke.

The supposed ‘godfathers’ of Adeosun, who are said to be a governor and an influential minister in the President Muhammadu Buhari administration, have reportedly been scheming to avert what would become the biggest scandal of the current regime.

The NYSC had reportedly disowned the certificate being paraded by Adeosun as issued by them.

Premium Times reports that part of the plot to cover up what has now been termed “AdeosunGate” is to compel the NYSC Director-General to declare the Corps’ register that could implicate the minister missing.

The newspaper which exclusively broke the news quoted its source in the NYSC as saying:

“If you read the NYSC statement it is non-committal at all, although they tactically disowned the document,” adding that, “They can come out tomorrow and say even though the woman applied, no certificate was issued. But if the pressure is sustained they can own up to the flawed certificate.”

Two other NYSC sources of the news medium reportedly said: “We senior people in NYSC are now caught in the web of intrigues,” adding that “We don’t know how it will end but we are praying to God to help us. It has not been easy with us at all.”

Meanwhile, more 72 hours after Premium Times unearthed Mrs Adeosun’s certificate scandal, the minister has not issued any statement to either acknowledge the report or refute it.
