Ortom: Stop Eating Your Morning Vomit As Lunch, APC Slams PDP

The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), on Thursday, lampooned the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) over the claim that one of its governors, Samuel Ortom, was already making moves to join the PDP.

Recall that Governor Ortom had recently accused the APC of giving him “red card” and pushing him “outside the pitch”; hence he was willing and free to join any political party he deemed suitable.

Following Ortom’s allegation, the PDP claimed on Wednesday that the governor was already making contacts with its leadership and that the opposition party was ready to “welcome him”. The Benue state governor had left the opposition party for the APC only three years ago.

But speaking after a meeting with Ortom on Thursday, the National Chairman of the APC, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, mocked the PDP for trying to eat its “morning vomit” as lunch.

Oshiomhole said the APC values the Benue governor and was not ready to lose him to the PDP regardless of the grievances he may have against the party in his state.

“For PDP that is deceiving the people, they must know that only people without honour will vomit in the morning and in the afternoon they convert it to lunch.

“People like Ortom who have honour cannot leave PDP just three and a half years ago with his eyes open and then later there are some tensions in his master bedroom and is thinking of returning to deceiving people, that cannot be an option. He is a man of honour and he knows that one should look for one step if you want to take the second step to concentrate the first step, that’s the way to go.

“Be assured that PDP can go and do whatever they do, it won’t change the mind of those who are convinced about building the future,” said the APC Chairman.
