Twenty-years after Nigeria won gold in the men’s football category at the Olympic Games, Coach Emmanuel Amuneke believes the current Dream Team can achieve that feat.
Nigeria became the first African country to win Olympic football gold medal in Atlanta 96’ USA.
Amuneke who was part of the team, led by Bonfrere Jo, shocked the world by defeating the likes of Argentina and Brazil.
Speaking to FIFA.com, Amuneke backed Dream Team VI currently, led by Samson Siasia, to follow the footsteps of their predecessors.

“There is nothing to say Nigeria cannot repeat the feat of 1996,” the coach said.
“It was a beautiful thing that we laid the foundation and others have followed our path, and I think our current team can repeat that success.”
