Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) star striker, Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been handed a 700,000 euros monthly pay-rise, making him by far the highest-paid footballer in France, Le Parisien newspaper reports on Wednesday.
The Swedish international will now pocket 1.5 million euros ($1.1 million) a month before tax under the performance-based hike agreed late last year.
In addition, the 34-year old can add to his jumbo pay bonus payments, if he wins the Champions league, the French league title and ending the season with the top combined total of goals scored and goal assists.
With (PSG) currently 21 points clear of second-placed Monaco in the league, the first of those targets is all but certain.
The French giant go up against Chelsea in the last 16 of the Champion League next month.
