The General Manager of Infiniti Segment Limited, Kayode Ibraheem, has said New Quick Response (NQR) Payment Solution, an innovative payment platform launched for all financial service providers in the country has come to make life easy for merchants.

It is a QR-code-based payments and collections platform designed for merchants and customers to receive and make payments for goods and services.

Speaking at the onboarding ceremony in Abuja, Ibraheem said Infinity has launched an Enterprise Resource Planning software, ErpCrebit, to enable proper use of the merchant’s NQR.

According to him, the software can be used to manage and coordinate all the resources, information, and functions of a business from shared data stores.

Ibraheem explained that the NQR has been designed to be low cost for merchants, especially when compared to POS Terminal charges.

“Like most PoS issuance from banks, NQR offers merchants a zero onboarding cost. However, unlike PoS issuance, merchants are not required to commit to doing a particular amount in a transaction.”

How it works

  1. Merchant presents NQR (barcode-like tokens that mask data) to customer at checkout
2.Customer opens mobile banking app to scan NQR
3.Customer authenticates transaction and merchant receives credit notification immediately
4.Customer visually inspects merchant details and inputs transaction amount if required

Merchants and business owners who may wish to generate their merchant and sub-merchants NQR code can visit https://infiniti.erpcrebit.com to do so.
