Tragic Fire Claims Life Of Four-Year-Old In Kano

A fire outbreak has claimed the life of 4-year-old Abubakar Sani, known as Musaddiq of Yakasai Layin Inuwa Mai Mai in Kano municipal.

The State Fire Service’s Public Relations Officer, Saminu Yusif Abdullahi, confirmed the incident, revealing that Musaddiq was trapped inside a room during the blaze.

Abdullahi said despite being rescued unconscious, the child was rushed to Murtala Muhammad Special Hospital, where his tragic demise was confirmed.

He emphasized that the fire’s origin was traced to the victim playing with matches inside a room, leading to the catastrophic outbreak on the upper floor.

He said, “The boy was found in a building of one floor of about 40 x 30 feet used as a dwelling house. One room from the upper floor well alight while one parlour was slightly alight.

“The victim was handed over to his father, Sani Usaini at the hospital for burial according to Islamic rites.”

However, Musaddiq’s grieving family handed over his lifeless body to his father, Sani Usaini, for burial in accordance with Islamic rites.
