Transcorp Hilton Holds Fire Drill, Dismiss Rumours Of Fire Outbreak

The management of the Abuja Transcorp Hilton has dismissed rumours of a fire scare at the five star hotel.

The Public Affairs Manager of the hotel, Mr. Sola Adeyemo, in a telephone interview with The WHISTLER, said there was no fire outbreak, rather the bi-annual fire drill to test the preparedness of the hotel in a fire emergency.

“There was no fire outbreak of scare, rather as is in our tradition of excellence, we embarked on our bi-annual fire drill.

“At the Transorp Hilton we usually hold two fire drills in a year and we use it to test how long it takes the fire service to arrive, our fire alarm bells and gauge the reaction of our guests in the event of a real fire outbreak.

“The good thing about what we do is that we don’t give notice of the drills so as to experience first-hand how the system works and how our guests as well as staff will react and learn on how to improve safety procedures here.”
