Turkish School Kidnap: Police Arrest More Suspects

The Inspector General of Police Intelligence Response Team (IRT) in Ogun State has arrested at least two more suspects on the Nigerian Turkish International College (NTIC) kidnap, recovering the sum of N3 million from them, as further investigations continue.

The suspects, who were identified as Egbasimokumo Ayeomi, 24, and Super Alex, 21, both from Eseodo Local Council of Ondo State, were arrested in Ikorodu, Lagos, by IRT led by Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Abba Kyari, while trying to escape to their home state.

It was gathered that the suspects confessed to have participated in several other kidnappings within Lagos and Ogun states.

A source confirmed that the the suspects are already giving useful information to the police, which will lead to the arrest of more suspects.

 

The arrest is in connection with the Turkish school kidnap, where three pupils and five officials of the Nigerian Tulip International College in Isheri North, Ogun State, were kidnapped last January 13.

Recall that two other suspects, including a 20-year-old nurse, Felicia Weinoh, who specialized in treating victims and members of the kidnap gang, were arrested in Lagos last weekend in connection with the kidnap.
