UNILAG Crisis: Babalakin Appears Before Visitation Panel

The Chairman of the Governing Council of the University of Lagos, Dr Wale Babalakin, (SAN), has appeared before the Prof Tukur Sa’ad-led Visitation Panel set up by the Federal Government to look into the affairs of the institution from 2017 till date.
Babalakin arrived at the Senate Chamber, venue of the sitting, at around 8:50am.on Thursday but members of the panel had yet to arrive as at the time
The panel members arrived shortly after and Babalakin went on to begin the business of the day.
The university Governing Council led by Babalakin has been embroiled in crisis and the Vice Chancellor, Prof.Oluwatoyin Ogundipe was suspended and an acting VC was appointed.

But the Federal Government suspended the council and the embattled VC as another Acting vice Chancellor, Prof Folasade Ogunsola was elected by the Senate of the university.
