Unubiko Tertiary Education Scholarship Opens For Eligible Abia Undergraduates

Unubiko Foundation, a non-profit organisation dedicated to improving the lives of families in underprivileged communities, has called for applications for its tertiary education scholarship for the 2023/2024 session.

The scholarship is open to full-time Abia students in state and federal-owned tertiary institutions across Nigeria, and “students who are non-Abians in state and federal-owned tertiary institutions in Abia State,” according to information on the Foundation’s website.

Full-time students of universities, polytechnics and colleges of education in the country are eligible to apply.

To be eligible for the scholarship, an applicant must have a minimum of six O-level credits (inclusive of English and Mathematics) and a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 4.0 in a 5.0-grade system or the equivalent in other grade systems for the University category.

For the Polytechnic category, applicants must have a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.5 in a 4.0 grade system while applicants from Colleges of Education must have a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 4.0 in a 5.0 grade system.

Preferred courses for the scholarship are: Accountancy, Agricultural Science, Architecture, Business Administration/Economics, Computer Science, Education Technology and Environmental Studies/Surveying.

Others include Geology/Geophysics/Geo Informatics, Law, Mass Communication/Journalism, Engineering, Dentistry, Pharmacy and Medicine/Surgery.
