Boasts Of How He ‘Beat’ Challenger In First Debate

United States President, Donald Trump, on Thursday, said that he would not honour the next presidential debate slated for October 15.

His reaction was directed at the Commission on Presidential Debates (CPD) which had announced that the next debate would be virtual and not by physical presence.

“No, I’m not going to waste my time on a virtual debate.

“The commission changed the debate style and that’s not acceptable to us; I beat him in the first debate, I beat him easily,” Trump told FOX Business.

He also alleged that the CPD was trying to protect his political opponent, Joe Biden.

THE WHISTLER earlier reported that Biden had said that there was no point having a second presidential debate with Trump if his Covid-19 status remained positive.

“If he still has COVID, we shouldn’t have a debate.

“I’m not sure what President Trump is all about now. I don’t know what his status is. I’m looking forward to being able to debate him, but I just hope all the protocols are followed,” Biden said on Wednesday.

Trump, with his wife, Melania, had contracted the coronavirus but Trump was later discharged from the Walter Reed Medical Centre where he was being treated for Covid-19.

On Thursday, he claimed that he was not contagious and that he and Melania were feeling well.

“She’s feeling good, I’m feeling good. Really good, I had a case. I got it knocked out; I don’t think I’m contagious at all,” he said.
