VIDEO: ‘Father I Thank You, My Daughter Is Back’ — Parents In Emotional Reunion With Greenfield Varsity Students
It was an emotional moment when parents of the abducted Greenfield University students reunited with their parents after 39 days of being held captive in the den of kidnappers.
The students, who were released on Saturday after alleged payment of huge ransom, reunited with their parents in Kaduna State.

Videos showing family members embracing the released students had gone viral on social media.
A father was captured rendering praises as he embraced his daughter.
“Father I thank you, my daughter is back,” he was heard saying. Other parents were also seen in similar gesture.

However, the video captured other parents berating the government for allegedly neglecting them and turning deaf ears to calls to address worsening insecurity in the country.
They also prayed that those who were behind the attack would in due time face the consequences of their action, noting that they had borrowed money to secure the release of their children.
The students numbered 14 were released earlier on Saturday at a location along the Kaduna-Abuja highway.
