Nigerian DJ, Obianuju Catherine Udeh, known professionally as DJ Switch, has revealed how soldiers and operatives of the disbanded Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) shot live bullets at protesters at the Lekki toll gate on Tuesday.

DJ Switch was among the protesters trapped at the Lekki toll gate when soldiers allegedly stormed the protest ground on Tuesday night.

The DJ, who had been quiet since the shooting incident, had streamed the incident live on Instagram.

A teary DJ Switch revealed in a video she posted on Instagram on Friday that she had been quiet because she sustained injuries during the shooting incident and had to be taken to an undisclosed medical facility for treatment.

Contrary to the Nigerian Army’s claim that there was no presence of soldiers at the scene, Switch said herself and other unarmed protesters were shot at by solders and the operatives of the disbanded SARS.

The youths were protesting against alleged extra-judicial killings, extortion and rights abuses by SARS operatives.

DJ Switch also displayed shells of bullets shot at the protesters, as well as a bullet removed from the thigh of one of the protesters.

She further revealed how the soldiers allegedly moved dead bodies of protesters into their vans to avoid leaving behind evidence.

Meanwhile, Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, had promised to reveal what really transpired at the Lekki toll gate to the public as soon as the state government get’s hold of CCTV footages installed at the area.

President Muhammadu Buhari had avoided speaking on the Lekki shooting incident during a national broadcast he delivered on the #EndSARS protests on Thursday night.

Instead, Buhari warned that his administration would not tolerate further protests from the #EndSARS campaigners.
