The federal high court sitting in Jos has denied granting any order to Chris Giwa to assume leadership of the Nigeria Football federation (NFF).

Close to two months now, Giwa and NFF president, Amaju Pinnick have been involved in power tussle over the leadership of the football body.

Giwa, who cited a court order for his actions, had reportedly tried to force his way into the NFF building to take the leadership by force, but was faced with stiff resistance by the Nigerian police.

However, countering Giwa’s claim of a court order, Nasiru Gusau, a registrar of the court denied ever granting the Giwa FC boss any order.

Speaking in an interview on Monday Gusau said: “We did not issue any writ of execution on this matter. What you are saying is strange to me.

“The Giwa people made an application for writ of execution, which the court declined. The court cannot execute a declaratory judgment or an interlocutory order.

“Moreover, if the case is on appeal, how can the high court issue a writ of execution?”
