What Lagosians Told Outgoing Gov Ambode After Casting His Vote

Lagos State Governor, Akinwumi Ambode, on Saturday, voted at his polling unit in Ogunmodede Junior/Senior College, Epe, in the ongoing governorship and state assembly elections.

Ambode, while casting his vote, urged Lagosians to “exercise their civic duties peacefully and cooperate with the officials for a free, fair and credible election” in the state.

The governor had failed to secure the governorship ticket of his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), during the party’s primary election in the state.

He lost the gubernatorial ticket of the APC to Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu who is the candidate of his party  in the ongoing poll.

Ambode would be vacating his office after the expiration of his first term whether or nor his party wins the governorship election.

He tweeted photos of himself voting at his polling unit in Epe area of the state, and Lagosians reacted differently to the tweet.
