For the third time, operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have been led on a wild goose chase to the residence of Mr. Mohammed Adoke, former attorney-general of the federation.

On Tuesday, the operatives of the agency stormed the Kano home of the former AGF hours after the wife had left home based on a “tip-off” by a whistleblower but found nothing.

The report first by TheCable said the security agents stormed the home located at Alu Avenue, was ransacked by the EFCC operatives on Tuesday between noon and 2pm.

They searched rooms, ceiling and water tanks but sources said nothing incriminating was found.

After conducting a thorough search of the house, the operatives asked the security guard to sign a document confirming that no damage was done to the house, though some doors were broken down.

Adoke’s residence at TheHague, the Nerthelands, was searched earlier in the year, but only $50 and €60 in coins were found.
