His claim on flattening the curve isin contrast to the position of the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on the (COVID-19) Pandemic, which is that the spread is still on the upward movement.

Ganduje said the state received N5billion to fight the pandemic in Kano, a reason he came to show his appreciation to Buhari.

The governor stated, “On COVID-19, I came to thank Mr President for assisting Kano state with N5bn to fight the pandemic. That has assisted the state. We have opened five testing centres, which are functional, the curve is now flattened.

“We carry out testing maximally, but at the same time the positivity ratio is very low. So, it is (COVID-19) dying down almost on a daily basis. S, I came to thank Mr President for that assistance.”

On the security situation in the state, he said he briefed Buhari on the military training set up at the Falgore Forest, which had so far cost his administration N500 million.

He explained that the idea of the training was to help in flushing out bandits from the are and the state generally.

The governor also briefed Buhari on the Ruga project in the state as well as the case of blasphemy involving one Hausa musician.

According to the governor, though the family home of the accused was razed by irate locals, the musician is in safe hands.
