Recall that ASUU proceeded on the industrial strike in November 4th 2018 following government’s failure to honour the Memorandum of Understanding it signed with the union in 2017.

This is the ninth time the striking lecturers would be meeting with the Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige.

Speaking to journalists at the end of the meeting, Ngige as well as the ASUU President, Professor Biodun Ogunyemi noted that they are making progress.

They said the meeting has been adjourned till Thursday, February 7, but refused to release further information.
