Rivers APC Threatens INEC Over Exclusion

Some members of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Rivers State have protested the exclusive of their party from the forth coming general elections.

The protesters who besieged the headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC in Port Harcourt today threatened that there would be no election in the state unless INEC allows the party to field her candidates for the Saturday’s election.

The police had earlier barricaded the entrance to the INEC office preventing both the officials of the commission as well as the protesters from gaining access into the commission’s premises.

It will be recalled that the Supreme Court had on February 12 upheld the judgement as well as struck out an application by the APC seeking to compel INEC, to recognize all its candidates in the forthcoming elections in Rivers State.
