23-year-old Man Stabs Stepmother To Death In Nasarawa

A 23-year-old man, Ahmed Abdullahi, is presently cooling his heels in custody of the police in Nasarawa State after allegedly stabbing his stepmother to death on Friday.

The police on Saturday arrested Abdullahi who was said to have escaped from the scene of the incident and gone into hiding after killing the woman.

The public relations officer of the state’s police command, Ramhan Nansel, said the suspect committed the act at about 11 p.m. on Friday at Ungwan-Yakubu, Agyaragu village, in Obi Local Government Area of the state.

Nansel said the suspect was about to be lynched by people of the village before the police intervened and took him into custody.

The police are presently investigating the matter to determine Abdullahi’s motive for killing his stepmother.
