2Face-led Protest: Nigerians Descend On Buhari’s Aide Over ‘Unguarded’ Comments

Nigerians have taken to Twitter to vent their anger on one of President Muhammadu Buhari’s Personal Assistants on Social Media, Ms. Lauretta Onochie, after she called out legendary Nigerian musician, Innocent ‘2Face’ Idibia.
Onochie had on Tuesday challenged Mr. Idibia to go live on national television and explain his “beef” with President Buhari.
This followed an earlier call by Mr. Idibia last week for a nationwide protest against the ‘unfavourable’ economic policies of the current administration

The Presidential aide, however, noted that until Mr. Idibia goes live on TV to state his grievances against the government, the Presidency would assume that his planned protest is born out of personal interests.

But Nigerians, who found the statement very unprofessional, asked Ms. Onuchie to rather organize a debate between President Buhari and the ‘African Queen’ crooner.
