The items, which are empowerment materials, were recovered and handed over to NDE by the Sokoto zonal office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for onward disbursement to the beneficiaries.

EFCC Spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren, in a statement on Thursday, did not however, disclose the name of the contractor.

Uwujaren quoted the state zonal Head of the anti-graft agency, Bawa Usman Kaltungo, as describing the development as “a milestone in the fight against corruption.”

The EFCC spokesman also quoted the state coordinator, NDE Sokoto, Eunice John Danmallam, as saying the items would be equitably distributed.
