Police Rescue Abducted Port Harcourt Lawyer From ‘Deep Forest,’ Two Suspects Arrested

Bisola Paullete Ajayi, a lawyer who was abducted by unknown gunmen at her residence at Rumuokwurushi in Obio-Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State has been rescued by Operatives of the Anti-Kidnap Unit of Rivers State Police Command.

The state’s Commissioner of Police, Joseph Mukan, said one DSP Adewale led the Operation into a deep forest in Etche in Rivers State to rescue the young lawyer and one other person.
Two persons were arrested including an arms dealer.

Speaking after her release at the Command Headquarters, Bisola recounted how her abductors had initially requested for a ransom of N60million on Sunday night and increased it to N300million after the news of her abduction went public.

She also said some of her abductors had threatened to kill her before her timely rescue.
