Abia LGA Chairman Dies Barely Three Weeks In Office

Reports reaching THE WHISTLER have it that the newly appointed Chairman of Arochukwu Local Government Area of Abia State, Onyekachi Okoro, has died.

Okoro, it was gathered, died at home shortly after holding a political meeting at his office in Arochukwu on Thursday.

Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu, had sworn in Okoro alongside 16 others as Transition Committee Chairmen in the 17 local government areas of the state in December, 2019.

The swearing-in ceremony was held at the Government House Umuahia, the state capital.
