Abia Man Kills Son For Eating Last Portion Of Food In Family’s Pot

One Mr. Marcel Udeh from Umunneochi LGA of Abia State, has been arrested by the police for allegedly murdering his child.

According to a community source, Udeh’s son’s offence was that he came back home and ate the last meal in the pot inside the family’s kitchen.

Udeh, according to the source, got angry that his ‘late’ child could audaciously enter the kitchen to take food without getting his consent.

Outraged, he was said to have dashed into his room, brought out a gun and shot at his son, resulting in the victim’s demise.

People of the community without hesitation captured Mr Udeh, tied his two hands and put him on the dead body of his child.

Udeh, while asking for forgiveness, blamed his act on the devil, saying he is sorry and regrets his action.

When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Abia State Command, ASP Maureen Chinaka, confirmed that the incident was reported at the Umunneochi Division, adding that the suspect has been arrested.

“Yes, we got a report at Umunneochi Division, the suspect has been arrested and the matter as of now has been transferred to the SCID for thorough investigation and (the suspect) will be charged to Court afterwards,” said Chinaka.
