Adeboye Calls For Inclusion Of Religious Leaders In Gov’t Committees

The General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Enoch Adeboye , has advised the government to include religious leaders in all its committees.

Adeboye made this plea in a Sunday sermon that was broacast live via the Church’s cable channel, Dove Tv on Sunday.

The cleric assured the congregation that the virus would l soon be controlled and commended government efforts at curbing the spread of the virus.

The cleric also pleaded that religious leaders be included in government committees to also fight the spiritual battle.

“We thank God for the government , we thank God for the efforts they have made. I believe they have done creditably well because they have had to deal with a situation they have never seen before.

“But I will probably humbly suggest just as a Nigerian, that maybe in the future, they will include in all their committees Men of God. Am not talking of small boys like myself. Am talking of Chief imams and Arch Bishop’s so they can help them with the spiritual aspect of this warfare, ” he pleaded.

He however advised the congregation to pray and take precautionary measures against disasters like fire outbreaks and flooding.

” We will really need to pray, we have seen some fire outbreaks, but need to pray because the really big one is still on the way and we don’t want it to happen at all.

“And as soon as the lockdown is over, please clear all your gutters and the water ways before the rain begins.”
