Senator representing Kogi West senatorial district, Dino Melaye has revealed that he escaped another assassination attempt on his life.
The senator, who revealed this in a series of tweet via his twitter handle said that the incident followed a serious exchange of gun shots between the Department of State Services, DSS, policemen and government assassins.
He accused the state government of sponsoring the hired assassins, adding that the DSS saved his life.
He revealed that the incident occurred at the gate of Kogi State polytechnic, Lokoja where he was holding a protest against the state government.
Recall that the senator had accused the state governor, Yahaya Bello of releasing about N1.4bn to local government areas, LGAs to ensure he is recalled from the upper chamber.
