Akpabio Meets Buhari In London, Vows To Support President’s Reelection
Senate Minority leader, Senator Godswill Akpabio, paid a visit to President Muhammadu Buhari in London on Sunday.
The visit comes 24 hours after Okoi Obono-Obla, senior special assistant to the president on prosecution, revealed that the former Akwa Ibom goernor will join the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the coming days.
Akpabio, who is currently of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, declared his support for President Buhari’s re-election in 2019.
He further stated that the 49 PDP senators in the National Assembly is backing the President’s second term bid.
This was according to a statement by the Special Adviser to the President on New Media, Bashir Ahmad.
