Anambra Native Doctor Cuts Off Son’s Fingers With Machete , Chains Him For 4 Weeks

The Anambra State Police Command, Thursday, around 1pm, arrested one native doctor, Gregory Enwaeso, 48, of Egbengwu village, Nimo in Njikoka Local Government Area, for allegedly conspiring with his son, one Chinonso Enwaeso, 20, to chop off all the fingers of his biological son, one Abuchi Enwaeso, 22, using a machete.

The arrest was effected by police operatives attached to Nimo Division in collaboration with a local vigilante group.

The Anambra State police PRO, SP Haruna Mohammed, told our correspondent that, “The suspects equally chained the victim and abandoned him for four weeks, living him in severe pains. Police detectives visited the scene of the crime, photographed the victim and rushed him to General Hospital, Enugu-Ukwu, for medical attention.

“The machete allegedly used in perpetrating the act was recovered as exhibit, and the suspects who voluntarily confessed to the dastardly act claimed that the victim allegedly absconded with the sum of #150,000 proceeds realized by the father. The commissioner of Police, CP John B. Abang, has ordered for the case to be transferred to the state CID, Awka, for discreet investigation.”
