Anambra: Police Arrest ‘Kill And Bury’, Other Masterminds Of Ihiala Killing

Two ring leaders of the cult group responsible for the recent killings in Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State have been apprehended, the state police command announced on Monday.

Their arrest followed a special operation spearheaded by the Police Crack Squad deployed to Ihiala by the state Commissioner of Police, CP Aderemi Adeoye, THE WHISTLER gathered in Awka.

The CP had deployed the crack squad “to provide security for the people of Ihiala during and after the festive period,” the state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, stated.

According to him, “One Chitana Oha, male, 25 years old, alias ‘Kill and Bury’, was arrested. Also nabbed is one Emmanuel Ifeanyi Okonkwo, male, 24 years old, alias ‘Good and Bad’. Both suspects were arrested at their hideout at Okija within the same local government area.”

Meanwhile, CP Adeoye has reinstated the commitment of the force towards ending cult-related killings in Ihiala and other parts of the state.

Ikenga said, “The CP has directed the Crack Squad to go all out against the cultists and clip their wings. He assured members of the public that their security will continue to be the topmost priority of the command.”
