Beautiful First Class Female Graduate Of Law Explains What She Did To Excel

Yira Festus Nwiganale must have dazzled and tempted her lecturers with her natural beauty and charm while studying for a degree at the Rivers State University in Port Harcourt. But she earned the respect of the university community with her intellect and drive to be “a champion.”

She graduated with a First Class in Law from the university in 2019 and went on to bag another First Class from the Law School in Lagos to show that her degree is no fluke.

THE WHISTLER had a chat with her and she was willing to divulge a few secrets of her success to the website.

On how she was able to graduate with excellence, she said: “My parents always preached academic excellence. I learned my books, gave myself extra study times so as to be ahead. Dedication and commitment to being a champion brought me here.”

Asked whether she was all book and no play while in school, her answer was negative. “Talking about being a bookworm, I wouldn’t say I was often with my books. I equally had time for social activities, fellowships and more. But I never skipped my scheduled time table for anything,” she revealed.

But is it correct to say she never really socialized in school as others? She said “I am not a party person, though I love music. I would rather play the songs in my apartment.”

But how can a beautiful girl like her escape the eyes of lecherous lecturers? She gave the formula: “ I ensured I learned my books. My exam scripts speak for me. I never encountered sexual harassment.”

She also had advice for girls who desire to excel and avoid sexual harassment.

“My advice for my fellow ladies who want to excel in their respective academic fields- learn to shun some unnecessary fun, be focused and know that nothing good comes easy.”

Thank you, Nwiganale.
