BREAKING: Armed Thugs Made ‘Scary Attempt’ On Osun Gov’s Life During #EndSARS Protest

A media aide of the Governor of Osun State, Mabel Aderonke, has confirmed an attempt on the life of Governor Gboyega Oyetola by armed thugs on Saturday.

Hoodlums on Saturday attacked the convoy of governor as he was addressing #EndSARS protesters at the popular Olaiya Junction area of Osogbo, the Osun State capital.

The hoodlums rained stones on the convoy and the governor had to be whisked away from the venue even as protesters continued to throw stones at his vehicles.

Our correspondent gathered that the governor had come down of his vehicle and walk towards the protesters and as he was addressing the crowd of Protesters, some Hoodlums lunched attack against the governor and had to be quickly ferried into his car and hurriedly driven away.

The hoodlums vandalised some of the vehicles in the governor’s convoy as his security aides ferried him to safety after a stampede.

The Senior Special Assitant to the governor on Media, Mabel Aderonke, confirmed the attack while sharing photos of the vandalised vehicles.

“There was a scary attempt on Governor Adegboyega Oyetola’s life by armed thugs on Saturday in Osogbo,” @MabelAderonkeN tweeted.
