BREAKING: Gun Battle As Boko Haram Lay Siege On Maiduguri

Suspected Boko Haram terrorists have reportedly laid siege in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital.

According to Channels TV, the insurgents are believed to have entered the city through the Polo road.

The sect launched an attack on Jidari area of the metropolitan city around 5pm.

There is currently a serious gun battle between the insurgents and troops of Operation Lafiya Dole.

Residence are reportedly fleeing the area for safety.
