BREAKING: Jimi Agbaje Emerges Lagos PDP Guber Candidate

Mr Jimi Agbaje has won the ticket to run for Lagos State governorship election on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2019.

Mr Agbaje, who lost the 2015 Lagos State gubernatorial election under the PDP, emerged the party’s governorship candidate for the 2019 election on Friday.

The pharmacist and politician polled 1,100 votes to defeat Deji Doherty, who polled 742 votes at the PDP primary election.

Agbaje will be contending the seat of the governor of Lagos State with Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who recently emerged the standard bearer of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.

Either of the duo will take the baton from Governor Akinwumi Ambode who had lost to Sanwo-Olu at the governorship primary election of the APC in the state.
