BREAKING: Makinde Sacks Cabinet

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde , has dissolved his cabinet.

However, three council members were not affected. The trio include the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Head of Service (HOS) and the Director General of Due Process office.

The governor was said to have announced the dissolution to the commissioners and special advisers at the end of the weekly State Executive Council meeting which was held at the Executive Council Chamber on Tuesday.

The Press Secretary to the Governor, Taiwo Adisa, confirmed the dissolution but said details would be given later.

The governor reportedly directed the sacked appointees to hand over to the most senior officers in their former ministries.

It was gathered that many of the affected political appointees might not be reappointed because the governor was not satisfied with their performances.
