BREAKING: Muazu Ahmed Takes Over As INEC Chairman

Air Vice Marshal Muazu Ahmed (rtd) has taken over from Professor Mahmood Yakubu as the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Ahmed will be holding the position in acting capacity, pending the senate’s confirmation of Yakubu’s reappointment by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Yakubu handed over to the acting chairman at the Abuja national headquarters of INEC on Monday.
