BREAKING: Police Arrest Omo-Agege Over Stolen Mace

The police have arrested Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, lawmaker representing Delta central senatorial district, hours after obstructing senate plenary.

The lawmaker was arrested around 1:50pm on Wednesday.

Omo-Agege had earlier on Wednesday, stormed the senate chamber with some unidentified persons to cart away the mace of the senate.

According to the Cable, the senator sneaked back into the senate during plenary and sat among his colleagues before policemen picked him up.
