BREAKING: Super Eagles Beat Liberia, Set For World Cup Qualification

Nigeria have defeated Liberia in the Group C World Cup qualifiers game in Tangier, Morocco.

Gernot Rohr’s squad have been under pressure to secure a spot for the country in Qatar 2022.

The three-time African champions dominate Group C with 12 points, a point made possible by Victor Osimhen’s penalty in the 15th minute.

Captain Ahmed Musa doubled the lead with a 94th minute penalty.

They will face Cape Verde who are second place in the group on November 16.

Cape Verde have secured 10 points from four games. Nigeria need to draw with Cape Verde to finish as the Group C leader.

After the Group stage, the winners of the 10 groups will face-off in home-and-away ties.

Only five of the ten teams will secure a ticket to represent Africa at Qatar 2022.
