BREAKING: UI Senate Elects Prof Ekanola New Acting VC

The Senate of the University of Ibadan has elected Prof Adebola Ekanola, the new Acting Vice Chancellor of the university.

Ekanola, who is the current Deputy Vice Chancellor Academics polled 275 votes to beat other contenders in an election conducted on Monday.

The university was directed to elect a new acting vice chancellor following the crises which have trailed the selection of a new substantive VC to succeed Prof Idowu Olayinka whose tenure expired today Monday, November 30.

The Director, Public Communication, University of Ibadan, Olatunji Oladejo, confirmed the election of Prof Ekanola as the new Ag. VC to our correspondent.
